Malarkey Roofing Products
Malarkey now uses Nex Technology in all of their shingles with the exception of the Windsor product. This is when recycled plastic items are used to create small beads (Poymers) and are used to soften it and make it more pliable. Which leaches out oil, becomes brittle and fall apart. The polymer helps absorb and allows it to move and also doesn't release vapors and toxins in the atmosphere.

CertainTeed has been around for 300 years. Original company was St. Gobaine who purchased CertainTeed. They have a product that fits everybody. More asphalt on your home than any other manufacturer is their sales pitch. They produce their own mat, and produce their own granulars instead of shipping them in Underwrites Lab certifies all their products. This is important because it is a third party hired for QC.
